A process of Self-Inquiry also called 'Svadhyaya'
Have you ever felt that you aren’t living up to your full potential, because something is holding you back?
Do you often find yourself stuck in the same old pattern?
Do you repeatedly find yourself in what seems like the same relationship even though you are with a different partner?
Do you experience such physical symptoms as deep-seated tensions, headaches, insomnia or chronic pain that don’t seem to go away with traditional treatments?
Many experiences and events in our lives that are unresolved, often continue to live in our bodies. These physical, mental and emotional patterns can become obstructions to living life from our true nature. When they remain unrecognized and unexamined for a long time, they can show up as chronic tension/pain, nervous system disorders, anxiety, chronic illness, low self-esteem and various inabilities to function at full capacity.
Living from your True Self is a process of self-inquiry, a way of getting to know and understand Self. Drawing on elements of The Hakomi Method and Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing (SE) this process employs loving presence, studying experiences in mindfulness, awareness of body sensations, and a deep inward listening. The practitioner will guide you to explore feelings and thoughts through the body’s sensations and study mind/body patterns that are no longer serving you well.
Living from your True Self accesses and utilizes special states of consciousness that help discover our everyday patterns of habitual responses. Using the technique of mindfulness/awareness in the present moment, we can shed light on these organizing elements and re-evaluate those parts that limit us. In this process we learn to trust our innate ability to transform life’s experiences and we find new ways to engage our body as a guide for living a full and authentic life.
Living from your True Self can help you explore the exciting path of self-discovery as a gateway to living life with a new sense of empowerment. You can learn to better know your needs and direction; you can have consistency and vision. You can gain more clarity of your purpose; experience change of physical patterns and most importantly you can find yourself more and more at peace with who you are.
